Spend in the Swiss canton of Valais surrounded by the breathtaking scenery of 13 fourthousander peaks wonderful winter holidays at 1800 m above sea level in Saas-Fee and experience your winter sport under perfect conditions. The clean air in Saas-Fee will surely contribute to your recreation, because thanks to the car-freeness of the village you can enjoy here peace and nature. But don’t worry, you won’t have to go without comfort as infrastructure and the network of roads within the village are perfectly organised – via underground or e.g. with electric taxis.

Skiing and snowboarding
In the entire Saas Valley around Saas-Fee, Saas-Almagell and Saas-Grund you find 145 km of very well groomed ski runs. The main part with 98 km is accessible from Saas-Fee and reaches up to 3600 m altitude. With its high altitude and the ski area on the glacier Saas-Fee is an all-year-round skiing area, thus very snow secure. The glacier slopes at the Mittelallalin are rather easy, however, the highest underground funicular railway “Metro Alpin”, which takes you up, is likewise a special highlight as the visit of the Panorama Revolving Restaurant at 3500 m above sea level.
While descending from Mittelallalin to Saas-Fee on a length of 9 km you have to deal with ca. 1800 m altitude difference. The north-facing slopes of Plattjen, directly above Saas-Fee, offer varied ski runs.

Saas-Grund on the other side of the valley attracts with its varied area of 35 kilometres of ski runs beneath the summit of Weissmies, where also very sporty skiers can find many challenges as for example the descent to Saas-Grund which is with its 15 km the longest one in the entire Saas Valley. Above Saas-Almagell you find further 12 kilometres of ski runs with predominantly easy to moderately difficult character.
Ski tours, off-piste skiing and heli-skiing can be organised under expert guidance.

Snowboard specials
The snow park at Mittelallalin in the Saas-Fee skiing area is well groomed all year round. There you find: halfpipe, kicker, rails. You can also relax on a comfortable couch to the sound of good music in a specially arranged chill area.

Cross-country skiing
Right beside Saas-Fee there is a 6 km long cross-country ski run, which has an altitude difference of 154 metres. At the valley bottom along the river Saas Vispa also cross-country skiers will get their money’s worth. The beautiful 26 km long Saastal cross-country trail goes from Saas-Balen to the head of the valley near Saas-Almagell and then further on to Eiualp. But note: On some sections there are again and again larger gradients.
