Riederalp: Holidays on the Riederalp/Bettmeralp / Aletsch region
Holiday apartments - Hotels – accommodation – winter holidays
- ski resort
The small village of Riederalp is situated on a beautiful plateau at 1930m above sea level
in
Valais. There are plenty of holiday apartments, chalets and nice hotels in the car-free village. Even in the high season the location isn’t packed. Although it has grown in recent years, it has kept its original cosiness.
In winter Riederalp together with Bettmeralp and Kühboden offers a large ski resort with all levels of difficulty. The infrastructure of the lifts can also cope with the high season, so that there won’t be any long waits. There are comfortable hotels and guesthouses of all categories available. The chalets and holiday apartments in Riederalp are usually cosy and tastefully furnished. A holiday house is ideal for a whole family. Experience a lovely holiday in the Riederalp/Bettmeralp/Aletsch region.

In summer Riederalp is a great starting point for hiking tours in the Aletsch region or on the glacier. You will always have a stunning panorama including the Matterhorn. Enjoy this view also from your room in the holiday apartments and hotels. The Aletsch glacier at 24km in length is the largest glacier of the Alps. The Aletsch forest with its very old Swiss stone pines is an experience well worth making.
The most famous inhabitant of Riederalp is Art Furrer, who was a great trick skier in the USA in the 60s and who is now a seemingly continually present hotel owner in Riederalp.
