Skiing area Jungfrau-Region - Skiing holiday
Grindelwald - Wengen - Mürren

In the heart of the Bernese Oberland in front of the powerful scenery of Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau the skiing areas around the villages of Grindelwlad, Wengen und Mürren promise winter sports conditions of first-class quality.

Skiing and snowboarding
The skiing areas of the Jungfrau Region are divided into three sections. The skiing area Kleine Scheidegg-Männlichen, which stretches between Grindelwald and Wengen, comprises the largest offer of ski runs with altogether 110 kilometres of all degrees of difficulty. Ski enthusiasts in good shape can tackle the well-known Lauberhorn-World Cup run towards Wengen. On the other side of the Kleine Scheidegg everything goes a bit more quietly, so that also families or not so experienced skiers find suitable routes. The ski runs on the nearly 3000 m high Schilthorn above Mürren are very varied and the 54 kilometres of ski runs have different levels of difficulty.
However, only experienced skiers should dare the 12 km long descent to the Allmendhubel. Beginners will feel comfortable particularly on the lower slopes around Mürren.

The skiing area First with its 50 kilometres of ski runs reaches to the other side above Grindelwald with predominantly easy to moderately difficult ski runs, which also beginners appreciate. Here, for example, you find a 12 km long ski run from Oberjoch via Schreckfeld to Grindelwald, which is comfortably to manage.

Snowboard specials
All three sections of the Jungfrau ski region offer special facilities for snowboarders. In the skiing area First you find at the summit station of the Oberjoch chairlift the snow park “Stoneland” with kickers, tables and slides and at the summit station Grindel a halfpipe. The Funpark “Jumpers Corner” is situated on the Lauberhorn in the skiing area Kleine Scheidegg-Männlichen and also in the area Mürren-Schilthorn a small Funpark offers fun and action for snowboarders.

Cross-country skiing
Particularly near Grindelwald and in the Lauterbrunnental valley cross-country skiers can rage themselves out on ca. 40 kilometres of cross-country ski runs. You can enjoy the wonderful landscape on very well groomed trails whether at the bottom of the shadowy Lauterbrunnental valley, on the high altitude trails at the Allmendhubel or on the Bussalp in the First area – here nature pleasure is guaranteed.
