Grächen is located at 1620m above sea level on a sunny
plateau in the Matterhorn Valley. The mountain village receives its
character from the black Valaisian houses and colourful meadows. Most
of the hotels, chalets and holiday apartments are within walking
distance of the mountain railway. Grächen is known to be family
friendly and mostly car-free. The region has quite a few special
activities on offer. You can enjoy the summer in numerous ways. There
are over 120km of hiking trails at different altitudes all of which

In winter you can go skiing and snowboarding on the many slopes that
exist at different levels of difficulty. Or go on an alpine tour up to
