Crans Montana LogoSkiing holiday in Crans Montana – Hiking, skiing or relaxing
Skiing area - Holiday apartments - Hotels

Crans Montana, the tradition-rich Valais health and winter sports resort, lies on a wonderful sun terrace ca. 1000 meters above the Rhône Valley. Enjoy from here a marvellous long view to the Matterhorn and to the Mont Blanc.

Skiing and snowboarding
The altogether 140 kilometres of ski runs in the skiing area Crans Montana-Aminona spread over three levels. The easier ski runs are on the lowest level, the terrace between the villages. Above you find the slopes of Chetseron, Bella Lui, Les Violettes, Cry d'Er and Petit Bonvin, which reach up to an altitude of 2000 to ca. 2500 m. Here you also find interesting freeride areas with deep powder snow slopes, narrow forest passages as well as steep rock slopes for real expert skiers. The longest descent leads from the Plaine Morte Glacier to the lower terminus of the Violettes-Express and has a length of 12 km with intermediate degree of difficulty.

The predominantly moderately difficult ski runs are very varied. The black run down into the valley is a true titbit for real expert skiers.
You find deep powder snow and freeride areas on the glacier, in Aminona and at the Col de Pochet and furthermore in the area of Anzère near Les Masques.

Snowboard specials
In the area of Aminona on the Petit Bonvin snowboarders can find the snow park "La Tsa" with kickers, boxes, rails and pipe. The skiing area of Anzère has likewise a special terrain for snowboarders. Near "Les Luys" there is a snow park with tables, jumps and boardercross.

Cross-country skiing
Around Crans Montana and Aminona many of the altogether 40 km of cross-country ski runs are found along the irrigation channels, called “Bisse” or “Suonen”, which are very typical for this region. A special attraction represents the run from the Plaine Morte glacier at 3000 m altitude. The longest cross-country ski trail with a length of 10 km leads from Plans Mayens to Aminona.
