The
village of Bettmeralp lies in the unique natural landscape of the
Aletsch region, of which the powerful Aletsch Glacier belongs not for
nothing to the UNESCO World Nature Heritage of the
Jungfrau-Aletsch-Bietschhorn region. The unique mountain world and the
wonderful nature are the special advantages of this region. The
location of Bettmeralp on a sun terrace high above the Rhône Valley
creates also ideal conditions for a successful skiing holiday.
Skiing and snowboarding
The car-free Bettmeralp is situated at a pleasant altitude of 1938
meters. For a skiing holiday it is almost of inestimable value when
you can start skiing directly from the front door. The beautiful,
varied ski runs have a predominantly easy to moderately severe
character and therefore are also ideally suited for families with
children as well as for beginners.
The Bettmeralp skiing area covers approximately 40 kilometres of
slopes. Due to the connection with the neighbouring skiing areas of
Riederalp (30 km of slopes) as well as Fiescheralp (45 km of slopes)
you find altogether a very much attractive and varied skiing area with
considerable 115 kilometres of wonderful dream slopes.
Real professionals amongst the skiers and snowboarders find beneath
the Eggishorn and Bettmerhorn also real challenges.
Snowboard specials
Directly next to the “Salzgäb” slope promises the TFI funpark
Bettmeralp with halfpipe lots of fun and action.
Cross-country skiing
Cross-country skiers can go around for a ski tour on the small but
however fine cross-country ski tracks at lake Bettmersee. Bettmeralp
offers altogether 5 kilometres of cross-country ski runs for its
guests.
