 Campitello lies at 1450m above sea level and has about
730 inhabitants. There are many hotels, holiday apartments and chalets
to stay in.
The Langkofel and Col Rodella tower above the village. Campitello is
situated at the outlet of Val Duron and Val di Fassa, which is a great
area for hiking in summer and winter in
Trentino. There are various
ski resorts to be reached by the newest lifts. They provide for both
beginners and pros with slopes of all difficulties, of which there are
over 120km. |
You can go on many hikes. At the foot of the walls of Langkofel,
Plattkofel, Grohmann summit and Five Finger summit there is a hiking
trail with a stunning panorama. You can explore the surroundings
during cycling tours – yet be aware that some are rather long and
tiring and that you need to be quite fit for them. After a tiring day,
relax in the hotels and holiday apartments with some good food. If you
like climbing you can enjoy yourself on climbs of middling difficulty.
In Campitello there is a modern sports centre with a climbing wall.
Other options are an inline-hockey rink, a basketball and tennis court.
There is also a 6-hole golf court for beginners.
