The town of Titisee-Neustadt lies in the middle of the
Southern Black Forest. The district Titisee with its fantastic
location on the lake of the same name is world-famous.
Titisee lies at an altitude of ca. 850 m and is in summer as well as
in winter a much frequented, lively health resort with numerous hotels
and holiday apartments.
The lake covers an area of approximately 130 hectares and has a
deepest depth of 45 m.
The local mountain is the Hochfirst (1,192 m), relatively freestanding
and with his observation tower, the mountain is a popular hiking
destination. Anyway, Titisee is an ideal starting point for wonderful
hiking tours in the Black Forest.
