The Kleinwalsertal is framed by mountains of 2000m on three sides.
Here you will find untouched nature that is neither disturbed by
passersby nor by noise. Both in summer and winter the valley is a
popular holiday destination. The biggest ski resort in Germany offers
120km of slopes of all levels of difficulty that reach up to 2000m in
altitude. You will find it a paradiese for skiers, snowboarders and
carvers. Cross-country skiers can enjoy the surroundings on 42km of
well-prepared trails.
The mountain area offers a large net of hiking trails. There are over
150km of trails, which are divided into different climatic zones and
lie between 1000 and 2536m. During a walk through the Kleinwalsertal
you will find many herbs for cooking and healing. In a special flower
display window called “Blumenschaufenster“ you will always find an
exhibition of the plants in bloom at the time. The Breitachklamm is a
popular place for excursions, a show of nature that is worth seeing at
any time. The Breitachklamm lies on the border to the Allgäu. You can
end the evening in one of the innumerable huts, hotels and pubs and
spoil yourself on the local delicacies. There is comfortable
accommodation available such as a holiday house or apartments that
leave you nothing to wish for.
