Fischen lies in the most Southern part of Germany on the way to
Oberstdorf. The village offers lovely hotels, inns and holiday
apartments. You can spend great holidays here all year round. The
wonderful mountain spring with its green valleys and meadows and white
mountains in the background is a special experience. The cosy village
of Fischen has something to offer for everyone, whether Nordic
walking, hiking or cycling, anyone can do as they please. Should you
want to, you can go hiking at different altitudes: in the valley, on
sunny heights and in the high mountains. There are plenty of trails
for walkers and hikers. You can spend a varied holiday in Fischen in
the Allgäu.
Fischen is also attractive in winter. You can go for walks for hours
on the winter trails. Winter sports can be done on the well-prepared
slopes and cross-country skiing trails. There is even a night trail to
be gone on. The ski resort of Stinesser is ideal for beginners and
families. The two T-Bar lifts are open from Decembre til March, if
there is enough snow. A snow making machine makes sure there is. Spend
cosy winter evenings in the hotels and holiday apartments. Fischen
seems to be out of a fairy-tale and you can relax with some Gluhwein
(mulled wine) to get warm or sit next to one of the ceramic stoves.
You will feel comfortable everywhere, be it in a holiday house or in
one of the holiday apartments or lovely hotels.
