Valloire lies at 1430m above sea level and offers many
outdoor activities throughout the year. In winter, it is a popular
holiday spot because the ski resort Valloire/Valmeinier (1430-2600m)
has few trees and thus offers large pistes and various deep snow
slopes. Cross-country skiing trails of 25km in length run through
beautiful surroundings. In addition you can go ice-skating, torch
skiing, snowshoeing or view one of the interesting ski shows.
During the summer you can go mountaineering or hiking,
learn paragliding or go cycling. You can end the evening in the
restaurants, discos, bars and pubs and spoil yourself with the tasty
dishes.
