Méribel (1450m) is known as a classy winter sport
destination.
The village with its pretty houses lies in the middle of
fir tree forests in the heart of the large ski resort “Les 3 Vallées”.
The Alpine Skiing for Women of the Winter Olympics took place in
Méribel in 1992. |
The ski resort of Méribel, which forms part of Trois
Vallées, boasts 73 slopes with a total of 150km in length alone. 50
lifts, 16 of which are gondola lifts, take skiers up the mountains.
The “Moonpark” is open during the whole season. It is divided into
three areas and offers the right level of difficulty for everyone.

The village unites tradition with modern commodities.
The suburb of Mottaret lies about 3km above Méribel. On top of the
usual winter sports there are also other activities on offer, such as
a sauna, a swimming pool, indoor golf and an observatory.
After a nice meal or trip to the cinema you can enjoy the nightlife in
bars, nightclubs and discos. If you want, you can stay in a wooden
chalet or holiday house. But there is also other accommodation such as
hotels and holiday apartments of all categories on offer.
