Tignes is situated only a few kilometres lower than
Val d’Isere. There are plenty of holiday apartments and hotels to be
found in Lac de Tignes. Because of its geographical location the ski
resort gets lots of snow. There are plenty of lifts and teleferics to
take skiers to the desired slopes. The ski resort being linked to the
one of Val d’Isere, it is the biggest one worldwide. Even during the
summer you can go skiing on the glacier La Grande Motte (3550m).
In addition, there are over 200km of trails for hiking. The national
park Vanoise is worth a visit. Other activities are mountaineering,
