The ski area of La Plagne / Les Arcs
The biggest cable car of the world combines La Plagne with Les Arcs
to create the ski area „Paradiski“. With its 239 ski runs this region
is an Eldorado for ski enthusiasts. The glacier area is considered as
snow guaranteed and many of the ski runs lie at an altitude between
2000 and 3000 m. The 6 high alpine stations are open from 8 o'clock in
the morning to midnight and interconnected by a free shuttle service,
so that you won’t need your car during your entire holiday. For
families just as suitably as for professionals, in the greater area of
La Plagne/Les Arcs boundless ski pleasure is possible for all ski
enthusiasts and nature-lovers.
Skiing and snowboarding
Families and less experienced skiers find easy nursery slopes at all
stations. In Belle Plagne you find ski runs particularly suitable for
beginners. In addition, there are also aplenty of intermediate ski
runs and comfortable forest descents for pleasure skiers. |

For professionals there are various possibilities, so for example the
ski run „Mont de la Guerre“ on the valley side opposite to La Plagne,
which overcomes an altitude difference of 1250 meters. You find
further difficult downhill runs also beneath the Bellecôte (3417m) and
the ski runs „Rochu “and „Bellecôte“ on the glacier at 3000 m altitude
are for sportive skiers a true delicacy. Lovers of mogul skiing are
spoilt at the Grand Col with moguls partly as tall as a man.
For deep powder snow skiers the area is a real highlight with its
immaculate powder snow slopes and especially beautiful descents over
the small Bellecôte glacier and on the slopes above Montchavin.
Snowboarding
Here you will find all what a snowboarder’s heart desires: In
Montchavin there is a snowboard park with half-pipe, in Arc 2000
untiring freerider find a floodlight park and a funpark attracts
freestyler between the ski runs Pierre Blanc and Belle Blanc. The
snowboard park in Belle Plagne offers additionally an area for
boardercross fans.
