St. Anton Skiing area: Skiing holiday in St. Anton am Arlberg

Enjoy in St. Anton the flair of a tradition-rich international skiing resort as well as a gigantic variety of ski runs in conjunction with the advantages of a special snow-reliability.

Skiing and snowboarding
The skiing area at the Arlberg comprises altogether 241 kilometres of ski runs (including St. Anton, St. Christoph and Stuben), which are divided into the slopes around Valluga, Galzig, Gampen and Kapall as well as on the Rendl on the other side of town. With the large variety at different ski runs everyone will very quickly find his favourite terrain – no matter if beginner or professional. Not quite so experienced skiers are well able to manage over two thirds of the groomed ski runs. Particularly at the Gampen and the Galzig a stress-free ski pleasure is possible. Nevertheless also real expert skiers do find many challenges, thus for example on the Valluga descent or amidst the mogul slopes of the Schindlergrat or while downhill skiing from the Kapall.

Skiing area information

Ranking Ski areaThe Schindlerkar and the Mattun should remain reserved only for real crack skiers. On the other side of St. Anton, on the Rendl, everything goes more quietly. The slopes mainly above the tree line have mostly easy to a moderately difficult character and are also very popular with snowboarders.

Snowboard specials
The ski runs in the Rendl region are a popular meeting place for snowboarders. Also the Funpark with pro-jumps, washboard, table top, slides and fun box of course contributes thereto.

Cross-country skiing
In St. Anton cross-country skiers can choose between four different ski trails: The cross-country ski run St. Christoph is due to its altitude of 1800 m and since directly adjoining to the skiing area particularly snow secure. It is 2.5 km long. The cross-country ski run Ganderau with a length of 3 km is an easy circuit course where dogs are allowed. Between the eastern end of St. Anton via Pettnau to Flirsch you find the cross-country ski run “Stanzerl-Loipe” leading along the river Rosanna with a length of 22 km. One of the most beautiful cross-country ski runs of Austria starts from the hotel Mooserkreuz. On a length of 10 km it leads into the lonely Verwall Valley and surrounds the lake Verwallsee.
