Two Olympics have left their marks on
the Olympia Region Seefeld with the villages of Seefeld,
Leutasch,
Mösern/Buchen, Reith and
Scharnitz. Still today the Alpine and Nordic
winter sportsmen profit from the resultant pleasant infrastructure.
The sophisticated charm of Seefeld and the proximity to the
interesting city of Innsbruck make this region particularly attractive
to many holidaymakers.
Skiing and snowboarding
The Rosshütte ski area is directly accessible from Seefeld. Here
varied slopes beneath the Seefelder Joch await skiers and
snowboarders. On the other side of Seefeld and Reith it goes up to the
1,500 m high Gschwandtkopf with predominantly easy ski runs. In
direction of Leutasch and Neuleutasch the offer is supplemented by the
Kreith lift as well as the Neuleutasch T-bar lifts. The T-bar lifts in
Mösern and Scharnitz are particularly suitably also for beginners. All
in all, the ski area offers a total of 46 km of slopes served by a
network of 30 lift facilities.
The ski region with its mostly easy ski runs and very overviewable
area is very suitable for beginners and children. Only on the
Seefelder Joch and on the Härmelekopf the slopes are more challenging,
the same on the Reither Kar.
Snowboard specials
The snowboard park "Crazy Hole" in the Rosshütte ski area offers 12
different types of elements, which provide fun and action to boarders
and free skiers.
Cross-country skiing
The Seefeld region truly reaches Olympic dimensions when it comes to
the cross-country skiing. With 262 kilometres of well-groomed
cross-country ski runs the Tyrolean Olympia Region
Seefeld is a
paradise for cross-country skiers par excellence. Numerous awards
certify that this offer is extraordinarily good. Around the villages
of Seefeld, Leutasch, Mösern/Buchen, Reith and Scharnitz the gigantic
network of cross-country ski runs extends between pleasant altitudes
of 1,180 m and 1,550 m. The total of 262 kilometres of ski runs split
into 152 km groomed for classical skiing and 110 km suitable for
skating. The cross-country ski runs make different demands on the
winter sportsmen, from easy to demanding you will find everything.
Very informative route signs help to find one’s way in the region and
to assess the different routes. |
