"Skicircus" – so the two villages of Saalbach and
Hinterglemm have named their skiing area and this name stands for
quality. The offer of ski runs is first-class and après skiing very
turbulent.
Skiing and snowboarding
Spread over ca. 10 summits on both sides of the valley you find
altogether 200 kilometres of ski runs of most different levels of
difficulty. The expert skiers and snowboarders will surely be
attracted by the northern slopes, like on the Schattberg in Saalbach
or further into the valley on the Zwölferkogel. But don’t worry, on
the sunny slopes of the other side of the valley, from the
Spieleckkogel to the Wildenkarkogel, you find also sufficient easier
and family-friendly ski runs. Making a circuit on skis or with the
snowboard around the whole valley is possible both in and against the
clockwise direction.
You find additional challenges on a permanent carving trail on the
Hochalm in Hinterglemm, on numerous mogul slopes in the entire ski
region or also on the permanent giant slalom racing track at the
Unterschwarzach lift in Hinterglemm and you can thereby improve your
technical skills as well.
At the same altitude like Vorderglemm you find access into the Leogang
skiing area over the Wildenkarkogel and the Asitzkopf.
