also in summer. The Stubai Glacier cable cars bring you up to 3,333 m
- ideal ski slopes also in summer.
If you don’t like to go skiing and rather seek for peace while
sunbathing, you should set off along the Stubai Glacier Trail. An
incomparable route leads over a secured high-altitude snow path from
the mountain station Eisgrad at 2,900 m altitude to the Jochdohle. the
highest situated restaurant of Austria (3,150 m) The trail is also
suitable for families. It will take about 1 hour to get there. In this
region in summer hikers not yet sure-footed and neither knowing the
way around the place get offered guided glacier tours as well as
climbing tours with experienced alpine guides.
Who still like it some more alpine can also go about the via ferrata
Fernau. Thereto you take the cable car up to the central station of
Fernau. Close to the “Dresdnerhütte” you find the entrance to the via
ferrata, which is recommended however only for experienced mountain
climbers.
A further very beautiful viewpoint is the "Kleine Isidor". You reach
the 3,200 m high summit in about 20 minutes starting from the
Jochdohle.
