  Galtür is situated in a widened part of the Paznaun
Valley at the border to Vorarlberg. Located at the highest point in
the Paznaun Valley and the first climatic health-resort of
Tyrol,

fresh mountain or valley breeze provides for a permanent pleasant
climate.
Galtür has a wonderful skiing area. Here nobody needs to be annoyed
about any waiting times at the lifts. Thanks to the new 8-seat gondola
cableway to the Alpkogel winter sportsmen can reach now still faster
the ca. 40 km downhill runs of all degrees of difficulty. A further
three chair lifts and six tow lifts are at the skier’s disposal. Also
the hotels, holiday apartments and chalets leave no wishes unfulfilled.
 Should you be one of the enthusiastic sports fan who love to go hiking,
alpine climbing or biking, here you can rage yourself out. On
wonderful hiking trails surrounded by fantastic scenery you can get
away from it all. Playing tennis, swimming, climbing, angling, here
you can engage in different leisure activities.
