The Schilthorn – “Piz Gloria”, one of the most impressive
360°-panoramic experience in the Alps
 In
the Jungfrau region of the Bernese Oberland leads the Schilthorn cable
car high above the Lauterbrunnen valley up onto the Schilthorn at
2,971 m altitude. The impressive journey takes 32 minutes starting
from the terminus station in Stechelberg. During the trip from
Stechelberg via Gimmelwald, Mürren and Brig up to the summit of the
Schilthorn the cabins of the Schilthorn cable car overcome 2,103 m of
altitude difference.
Who has arrived on the summit can very comfortably enjoy the
breathtaking alpine panorama without cold feet and cold ears in the
revolving restaurant “Piz Gloria”. Here you can get spoiled with
culinary specialities and at the same time enjoy the view over the
neighbouring summits of Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau, as well as over
innumerable other majestic mountain summits and into the distance as
far as the Mont Blanc and the Black Forest.
