Switzerland for your summer ad winter holiday:

The area of Lake Geneva and the Vaud Alps attract with their mild
climate that is sunny with little fog even in winter and, of course,
with its great scenery. The days can be spent in the mountains or on
the lake with lots of activities to be done, cultural events to be
visited and excursions to be made, so that you will not have time to
get bored. The cosy atmosphere in the holiday apartments, chalets and
hotels in the region will add to your comfort.
During the summer you can explore the beautiful landscape while hiking
or cycling. You will always have a view of the impressive 4000m high
mountains including Mont Blanc and, with a bit of luck, you will also
come across ibexes, chamoises and groundhogs. Lake Geneva and the
other lakes of the region (Lake Neuenburg, Lac de Joux) are great for
refreshing oneself. The complete range of water sports is on offer
here. In Montreux you can take advantage of a large number of cultural
events such as music festivals, theatre and concerts, should you want
to do something different.
In winter, skiers and snowboarders will be delighted by such ski
resorts as Leysin, Les Mosses, Villars-sur-Ollon or Les Diablerets.
The view of the 4000m high mountains is breathtaking. Cross-country
skiers can enjoy trails of all levels of difficulty and at different
altitudes. There are also many other things to do such as sledging or
winter hiking. After so much fresh air and new impressions a cosy
place to stay is ideal. The local specialities are delicious. Try the
foundues, raclettes or charnonnades (pieces of meat grilled on a wood
stove). End the evening in the comfortable accommodation of your
choice. There are holiday apartments, chalets and hotels to choose
from. Spend relaxing holidays in Western Switzerland with its varied
character of the Swiss Riviera on Lake Geneva and the Vaud Alps.
