In summer you can undertake wonderful hiking tours. Along the main
hiking trail of Tyrol, the Adlerweg, whose name is derived from the
outline of the route as seen on a map resembling the wings of an eagle,
the heraldic animal of Tyrol, you can– also stage by stage - wander
through entire Tyrol. From easy hikes for families with interesting
thematic trails to pleasure hiking with wonderful far views and
possibilities to stop for a bite to eat through to high mountain tours
on the 600 three-thousanders - between Lech Valley, Stubai Valley and
Zillertal valley, the Kitzbühel Alps and the Arlberg is the choice
nearly limitless. In many places you can experience thrills while
rafting and canyoning and for example at lake Achensee sportsmen get
their money’s worth. Numerous good sports facilities and cultural
events will give no rise to boredom.
